코로나 19, 사회적 거리두기, NFT의 범람. 모든 전시가 온라인으로 대체되던 2021년. 그림이란 매체의 의미는 대체 무엇인가?
그림은 환영성이 있고 만질 수 없다는 암묵적 동의가 있지만 촉감이 있고 어둠 속에도 존재하며 언제나 ‘만질 수 있는 것’이었다.
<부유하는 섬>은 인천 신포동 일대에서 지나가는 시민들에게 마티에르를 내어 그려진 섬 그림을 원본으로 하여 탁본을 떠주고 이 시대에 남기고 싶은 메세지를 수집하는 프로젝트이다.
